Thomson still a protected species

Media release The Gillard Government is using every trick in the book to keep the Member for Dobell, Craig Thomson from providing a full explanation to the Parliament on the serious allegations made against him, said the Manager of Opposition Business, Christopher Pyne.
“An attempt to call on Mr Thomson to explain to the House of Representatives how he has been misrepresented was shut down by the Government today,” Mr Pyne said.
“Mr Thomson remains in the Albanese witness protection programme.”
“Earlier in the day the Leader of House, Anthony Albanese, made the extraordinary claim that there was no time in the Parliamentary schedule for Mr Thomson to make an explanation,” he said.
“Later, Mr Albanese wasted 35 minutes stopping an attempt to get Mr Thomson to present an explanation to the House.
“I would have thought that if the Government has nothing to hide then there would be a willingness to clear the air and present a full explanation to the Parliament,” Mr Pyne said.
