Shorten can’t deny his $1.2 billion education cut
The Leader of the Opposition, Bill Shorten was asked three times at a press conference today whether he cut $1.2 billion from Labor’s own school funding envelope and he refused to answer.
This is because the cuts are undeniable, in black and white in the Pre-Election Economic and Fiscal Outlook.
Treasury has confirmed the cuts. They are Labor’s cuts and Bill Shorten’s ticking time bomb for Australian schools.
Schools are left with Shorten’s shambles of a school funding model.
The Coalition will sort through this mess and has guaranteed funding for 2014 while we construct a new, fairer, simpler Commonwealth funding model.
