$1.1 million dollars for Linear Park
The Linear Park trail following the River Torrens is a fantastic recreational area for South Australians and especially for Sturt residents who use the corridor to cycle into the city, to walk the dog or for exercise.
We promised $1.1 million dollars over two years to revegetate, add more river bank stabilisation and reduce sediment in the river improving this area and the recent Budget has delivered this funding.
This is great news for Sturt residents living in the north-east of the electorate with the funding helping to improve the health of the River Torrens and protect the habitats from the impacts of stormwater and the spread of weeds.
The Australian Government is proud to be working with the South Australian Government and local councils, to enhance the Torrens catchment area.
